Department of Subject Didactics

The Department of Subject-Specific Education at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg currently comprises 14 subject-specific education disciplines, 12 of which are represented by professorships, giving it a structure that is unique in Germany. This provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen subject-specific education as an independent academic discipline and to further advance interdisciplinary research, theory development, and teaching in the field. In addition, four further subject-specific education disciplines are affiliated with the department as secondary members.
